For the clearest audio on Zoom: go to Settings > Audio and select your microphone by name (don't use "Same as System" if you have multiple mics). Uncheck "Automatically adjust microphone volume" and manually set the slider so your voice peaks at about 70-80% during the test. Set "Suppress background noise" to Auto or High depending on your environment. Enable "Original Sound" only if you're a musician — for regular calls, keep it off so Zoom's noise processing stays active. If you're using a USB mic, make sure it's plugged in before opening Zoom so Zoom detects it. For best results, use a headset mic positioned close to your mouth rather than a laptop's built-in mic. Test with a Zoom test call (Settings > Audio > Test Mic) before joining important meetings.
