DevicePrep™

Privacy

Privacy policy

DevicePrep runs entirely in your browser. This page explains what limited data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Test interactions (e.g., which buttons you click or whether a device check passed) to show live results.
  • Browser and device details your browser shares by default, such as user agent and screen size, to render the right UI.
  • Anonymous analytics events (page views, feature usage) to understand which tools are helpful.

What we do not collect

  • No audio, video, or keyboard input ever leaves your browser; tests run locally.
  • No account is required to use the tools.
  • No advertising identifiers are stored by DevicePrep.

How we use data

  • Operate and improve the device tests and troubleshooting guides.
  • Monitor reliability, performance, and error rates.
  • Respond to support requests when you contact us with context you provide.

Retention

  • Aggregated analytics are retained to track long-term performance trends.
  • Support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request.
  • You can request deletion of support correspondence at any time.

Third parties

  • Analytics and error reporting vendors process minimal event data (for example, page paths and error traces).
  • We do not sell or rent any personal information.
