If your mic doesn't work in Chrome specifically: first check the site permission by clicking the padlock icon in the address bar and setting Microphone to Allow. Then check Chrome's global mic setting at chrome://settings/content/microphone — select the correct mic from the dropdown and make sure the site isn't in the Blocked list. If Chrome still can't access the mic, check your OS permissions: on Windows go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and ensure Google Chrome is toggled on; on Mac go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and enable Chrome. Disable Chrome extensions one by one to check for conflicts — privacy extensions sometimes block mic access. Try testing in an incognito window (which disables most extensions). After changing any OS permissions, fully quit and reopen Chrome. If all else fails, reset Chrome permissions: Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Microphone > Reset permissions.
